Season 4, Episode 10: “Tying Three Rooms Together”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina has often highlighted the benefits of tying together various areas on a home by using complementary color pallets and stylist themes. This is even more important when different rooms are all within line of sight with one another.

In this video episode Dina explains a number of décor choices, shopping tips, and how an eat-in kitchen, family room, and reading room are all tied together using a single set of furniture originally intended to be used in a single room.

Season 4, Episode 9: “Showing You The Door(s)”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina is showing you the door. (Plural doors, actually – as in three doors). There is a single-swing exterior iron door, an interior bypass door system, and a double-swing exterior iron door. These are very cool, and will set the tone for the entire house and the future decorating decisions moving forward.

The episode also provides an update on the status of redecorating the dining room and butler’s pantry.

Note: The audio for this episode is far better than the previous episode, but we’re still getting used to the new microphones. The next video, God willing, will have audio that’s even stronger.

Season 4, Episode 8: “Furnishings Enter the Picture”

Season Four, already challenging, now experienced very annoying technical troubles with the audio. It seems that our external microphone is meeting its demise. We apologize for the less than stellar quality, but have decided to post the episode for archive purposes as we track the progress of the whole house transformation. (We will use a new microphone for the next episode).

Season 4, Episode 7: “Stained and Installed”

Season Four has faced its challenges, but the unveiling of the new flooring finally arrived. The hardwood is now stained, sealed, and coated. Next will come furniture placement after the floors have time to cure for a week or so.

Season 4, Episode 6: “Flooring – In with the New”

Season Four marches ahead – bringing the new flooring to the surface. The new hardwood is laid, the oak is sanded, and next will come staining to the desired color (which was a very tough decision, as explained in this episode).

Season 4, Episode 5: “Flooring – Out with the Old”

The big season four project is inching along on Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina.

This episode gets to the bottom of the flooring situation.

Season 4, Episode 3: “The Find Consignment”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina – Going Shopping!

This episode looks at deals that can be found at The Find Consignment (in Monrovia, Maryland) and demonstrates how to identify great value and fun creative uses of consignment items in the home.

Season 4, Episode 2: “It’s Demo Day!”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina is back in a big way! The huge new project meets demo day… and yes, there are some surprises.

The good news is that this allows the construction crew to address what were hidden long-existing problems (because they were covered up beneath the tile floor and behind the drywall). The team is stressed – yet thankful.

Season 4, Episode 1: “Huge New Project”

A new season of Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina! Season Four is here!

Ending a lengthy hiatus, Decorating Date Night is back with a huge new project – a whole house make-over. The first three seasons were all award-winning (“Best of Frederick” as voted by the readers of Frederick Magazine). Will the new season be even better?
