Season 4, Episode 3: “The Find Consignment”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina – Going Shopping!

This episode looks at deals that can be found at The Find Consignment (in Monrovia, Maryland) and demonstrates how to identify great value and fun creative uses of consignment items in the home.

Season 4, Episode 2: “It’s Demo Day!”

Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina is back in a big way! The huge new project meets demo day… and yes, there are some surprises.

The good news is that this allows the construction crew to address what were hidden long-existing problems (because they were covered up beneath the tile floor and behind the drywall). The team is stressed – yet thankful.

Season 4, Episode 1: “Huge New Project”

A new season of Decorating Date Night with Troy and Dina! Season Four is here!

Ending a lengthy hiatus, Decorating Date Night is back with a huge new project – a whole house make-over. The first three seasons were all award-winning (“Best of Frederick” as voted by the readers of Frederick Magazine). Will the new season be even better?

Season 3, Episode 15: “Outdoor Living”

This puts the wraps on Season three (even though there was a sneak peak at season four on social media already). This Decorating Date Night… or should we say Decorating Date Morning(?)… episode shares ideas for the backyard. Yes, outdoor living space is the focus this time!

Season One of DDN featured 16 episodes (23 videos). Season Two featured 16 episodes (24 videos). Season Three featured 15 episodes (22 videos). The plan is for Season Four to feature 17 episodes (23 videos) so that the average will be exactly 16 episodes and 23 videos per season. The episode count is probably more important than the video count, so we’ll see how it goes.

Season 3, Episode 14: “Million Dollar Monday”

The home featured in season three, episode thirteen was also featured in a video posted online by real estate agent Frederick Genau as part of a series he calls “Million Dollar Monday”. He used greenscreen technology to create this short (and funny!) presentation. We post his work here for your enjoyment. You can find all of his online video work on TikTok at his FrederickSellsFrederick channel.

Season 3, Episode 13: “Best Episode Ever”

A house that has been totally transformed.

This walkthrough video invites you into the various spaces and design choices. There’s so much detail! (And the video doesn’t even mention the maintenance-free rock mulch, the custom wood headers & shutters, the fully fenced backyard, the 90 year architectural shingles, the productive fruit trees, and so very much more).

This original Ausherman home was meticulously designed and customized, with all additional square footage added in stick-built fashion. Truly, this is a one of a kind living area, put together with expertise and love.

Season 3, Episode 11: “English Garden”

Welcome to the English garden.

This episode was initially broadcast on Facebook Live and the internet link continually dropped out, making for some awkward jump cuts within the final video.

However, the info shared is still good stuff, so we hope you enjoy watching despite the technical difficulties.

Here’s a bonus video to accompany episode 11 of season three. And is happens to be a first; a Decorating Date Night video that includes just one person… Troy. What’s the world coming to? 🙂

This episode continues the short series focusing on “decorating” the outside of your home. You can anticipate that there will be a few more “how to decorate on the outside” videos as the show heads down the homestretch of this season.

Season 3, Episode 10: “At the Curb”

Troy and Dina take things out to the curb, to share tips about some very literal “curb appeal”.

Have you thought about incorporating your mail box into the design of your home? Have you considered the directional growth pattern of the trees you plant? (Some grow “up”; others grow “out”.) Have you paid attention to the position of powerlines and driveway asphalt?

Answering these questions will help you map your outdoor decorating ideas, and keep things the way you intend them to look for years to come.
